Sukta 2.39
ग्रावाणेव तदिदर्थं जरेथे गृध्रेव वृक्षं निधिमन्तमच्छ । ब्रह्माणेव विदथ उक्थशासा दूतेव हव्या जन्या पुरुत्रा ॥
grā́vāṇeva tád id árthaṃ jarethe gṛ́dhreva vṛkṣáṃ nidhí-mantam áccha | brahmā́ṇeva vidátha uktha-śā́sā dū́teva havyā́ janyā́ puru-trā́ ||
Tulad ng mga batong pampiga kayong dalawa ay nakatuon sa tunay na layunin; tulad ng mga sabik na naghahanap kayo'y pumupunta sa punong puno ng kayamanan. Tulad ng mga pari kayo'y gumagalaw sa mga pagtitipon ng may utos ng himno; tulad ng mga mensahero kayo'y nagdadala ng mga alay ng mga tao sa maraming direksyon.
