ओष्ठाविव मध्वास्ने वदन्ता स्तनाविव पिप्यतं जीवसे नः । नासेव नस्तन्वो रक्षितारा कर्णाविव सुश्रुता भूतमस्मे ॥
óṣṭhāviva mádhvā āsné vádantā stánāviva pipyataṃ jīváse naḥ | nā́sēva nas tanvò rakṣitā́rā karṇā́viva su-śrutā́ bhūtam asmé ||
ดุจริมฝีปากคู่ที่กล่าวถ้อยคำหวานดั่งน้ำผึ้งในปาก ขอให้ถ้อยคำของเราเป็นความหวาน; ดุจทรวงอกคู่ ขอจงหล่อเลี้ยงเราเพื่อชีวิต. ดุจรูจมูกคู่ ขอเป็นผู้พิทักษ์กายอันมีรูปของเรา; ดุจหูคู่ ขอเป็นผู้ฟังอันประเสริฐแก่เรา—ให้และรับการได้ยินอันแท้จริง.
