Soma Pavamāna (with ritual epithet adrivaḥ)
हे लघु पावमान स्तोत्र, पिळला जाऊन शुद्ध होत असलेल्या सोमाचे आवाहन करते; त्याच्या उफाळणाऱ्या शक्तींनी रक्षसांना (दैवी-विरोधी अडथळ्यांना) चिरडावे आणि शत्रुत्व करणाऱ्या प्रतिस्पर्ध्यांना दूर हाकलावे, असे उद्युक्त करते. शुद्ध करणाऱ्या सोमाची अभंग “व्रते” (स्थिर नियम) अतिक्रमण-अशक्य आहेत, असे ते प्रतिपादित करते. शेवटी, तांबूस-पीत इंदू नदीच्या प्रवाहासारखा वेगाने धावून, रणात व विजयात इंद्राला उन्मादक सामर्थ्य देणारा बळ बनतो, या प्रतिमेने ते समाप्त होते.

Mantra 1
उत्ते शुष्मासो अस्थू रक्षो भिन्दन्तो अद्रिवः । नुदस्व याः परिस्पृधः ॥
हे अद्रिवः (दाबण्याच्या दगडांचा धारक), तुझे शुष्म वर उभे राहोत—रक्षस् भेदत; जे वैरस्पर्धेत सर्व बाजूंनी घेरून दाबतात, त्यांना दूर हाकल, नुदस्व.

अया निजघ्निरोजसा रथसंगे धने हिते । स्तवा अबिभ्युषा हृदा ॥
या (शक्ती)नेच त्याने आपल्या ओजाने रथांच्या संघट्टात, बक्षीस-नियत संग्रामात, शत्रूला पाडले. मी निर्भय हृदयाने त्याची स्तुती करतो.

अस्य व्रतानि नाधृषे पवमानस्य दूढ्या । रुज यस्त्वा पृतन्यति ॥
या पवमान सोमाची दृढ व्रते कोणीही भंग करू शकत नाही. त्याच्या अढळ शक्तीने जो तुझ्याशी युद्ध करतो त्याला मोड—शत्रूची प्रवृत्ती चुरडून टाक.
Mantra 4
तं हिन्वन्ति मदच्युतं हरिं नदीषु वाजिनम् । इन्दुमिन्द्राय मत्सरम् ॥
ते त्याला प्रेरित करतात—मदच्युत न होणाऱ्या त्या हरिला, जो नद्यांतही वाजिन् (वेगवान) आहे; तो इन्दु, जो इन्द्रासाठी मत्सर—उन्मत्त आनंद—आहे, तेजस्वी शक्तीचे बळ.
