इत्येतत् पितृभिर्गीतं भावाभावप्रयोजनम् । कृतं तेन भवेत् श्राद्धं य एवं कुरुते द्विज ॥ १३.६१ ॥
ity etat pitṛbhir gītaṃ bhāvābhāva-prayojanam | kṛtaṃ tena bhavec chrāddhaṃ ya evaṃ kurute dvija || 13.61 ||
ഇങ്ങനെ ഭാവവും അഭാവവും സംബന്ധിച്ച പ്രയോജനം പിതൃകൾ പാടിപ്പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു। ഹേ ദ്വിജ, ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവന്റെ ശ്രാദ്ധം ചെയ്തതായേ കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടൂ।
