उन्मध्व ऊर्मिर्वनना अतिष्ठिपदपो वसानो महिषो वि गाहते । राजा पवित्ररथो वाजमारुहत्सहस्रभृष्टिर्जयति श्रवो बृहत् ॥
únmadhva ūŕmir vanánā atiṣṭhipad apó vásāno mahíṣo ví gāhate | rājā pavítraratho vā́jam ā́ruhat sahásrabhṛṣṭir jayati śrávo bṛhát ||
മധുരതയുടെ ഊർമി ഉയർന്നു കാടുകളെ വിറപ്പിക്കുന്നു; അപ്സു വസാനഃ—ജലങ്ങളിൽ ആവൃതനായി—മഹിഷഃ—മഹാബലവാൻ—അകത്തേക്ക് കുതിച്ചു കടക്കുന്നു. പവിത്രരഥത്തിൽ രാജാവ് വാജം—ബലസമൃദ്ധി—ആരോഹിക്കുന്നു; സഹസ്രഭൃഷ്ടിഃ—ആയിരധാര തേജസ്സോടെ—അവൻ ഉയരങ്ങളുടെ മഹത് ശ്രവഃ—വിശാല കീർത്തി—ജയിക്കുന്നു.
