Sukta 7.30
हवन्त उ त्वा हव्यं विवाचि तनूषु शूराः सूर्यस्य सातौ । त्वं विश्वेषु सेन्यो जनेषु त्वं वृत्राणि रन्धया सुहन्तु ॥
hávanta u tvā havyáṃ vívāci tanū́ṣu śūrā́ḥ sū́ryasya sātáu | tváṃ víśveṣu sényo jáneṣu tváṃ vṛtrā́ṇi randhayā suhántu ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഹവ്യമായ അർപ്പണമെന്ന നിലയിൽ നിന്നെ അവർ ദൂരത്തോളം മുഴങ്ങുന്ന വചനത്തോടെ ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു; സൂര്യവിജയത്തിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ തനൂകളിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന ശൂരന്മാർ. നീ സർവ ജനങ്ങളിൽ സേന്യൻ—യുദ്ധയോഗ്യൻ; വൃത്രാണി (തടസ്സശക്തികൾ)യെ നീ കീഴടക്കുക, അവ ‘സുഹന്തു’—നന്നായി പ്രഹരിക്കപ്പെട്ട്—നശിക്കേണ്ടതിന്.
