Transliteration

ahā́ yádindra su-dínā vy-ucchā́n dadho yát ketúm upa-máṃ samátsu | ny àgníḥ sī́dad ásuro ná hótā huvānó átra su-bhágāya devā́n ||

Translation

ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, പ്രകാശമുള്ള ദിവസങ്ങൾ ഉദയംകൊണ്ട് തുറന്നുവരുമ്പോഴും, സമത്സു—യുദ്ധങ്ങളിൽ—നീ ജ്യോതിയുടെ പരമ കേതു (ധ്വജം) സ്ഥാപിക്കുമ്പോഴും, അപ്പോൾ അഗ്നി അസുരനെപ്പോലെ അധിപതിയായ ഹോതാവായി ഞങ്ങളിലകത്ത് ഇരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവിടെ സുഭഗതയ്ക്കായി ദേവന്മാരെ ആഹ്വാനിക്കുന്നു.
