ā́ no deva śávāsā yāhi śuṣmín bhávā vṛ́dha índra rāyó asyá | mahé nṛ́mṇāya nṛpate suvájra máhi kṣatrā́ya paúṃsyāya śūra ||

ഹേ ദേവാ, നിന്റെ ശവസ് (ബലം)കൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങളിലേക്കു വരിക; ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഈ റായഃ (സമൃദ്ധി) ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനാകുക. ഹേ നൃപതി, ഹേ സുവജ്രധരാ, മഹാ നൃമ്ണ (പുരുഷബലം)നായി—അതെ, മഹാ ക്ഷത്ര (സാർവ്വഭൗമാധികാരം)വും പൗംസ്യ (വീര്യം)വും നായി—ഹേ ശൂരാ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ പക്ഷത്തിരിക്കുക.
