Sukta 5.31
प्र ते पूर्वाणि करणानि वोचं प्र नूतना मघवन्या चकर्थ । शक्तीवो यद्विभरा रोदसी उभे जयन्नपो मनवे दानुचित्राः ॥
prá te pū́rvāṇi káraṇāni vocaṃ prá nū́tanā maghavan yā́ cakártha | śaktī́vo yád vibhárā ródasī ubhé jáyann apó mánave dā́nucitrāḥ ||
ഹേ മഘവൻ (ഉദാരദാതാവായ) ഇന്ദ്രാ! നിന്റെ മുൻകാല കൃത്യങ്ങളെയും നീ ചെയ്ത പുതുതായ കൃത്യങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു. ശക്തികളാൽ സമ്പന്നനായി നീ ഇരുവിധ ‘രോദസീ’—ദ്യൗവും പൃഥ്വിയും—ധരിച്ചു നിർത്തിയപ്പോൾ, ജയിച്ചു നീ മനുവിന്നായി അപഃ (ജലങ്ങൾ) മോചിപ്പിച്ചു—ദാനുവിൽ മറഞ്ഞിരുന്ന, അനേകരൂപധാരകളായ പ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ.
