Sukta 5.21
त्वं हि मानुषे जनेऽग्ने सुप्रीत इध्यसे । स्रुचस्त्वा यन्त्यानुषक्सुजात सर्पिरासुते ॥
tvaṁ hí mā́nuṣe jáne’gne suprī́ta idhyáse | srúcaḥ tvā yanty ānuṣák sujāta sárpir āsuté ||
നീ തന്നെയാണ്, ഹേ അഗ്നേ, മാനുഷജനത്തിൽ സുപ്രീതൻ (പ്രസന്നൻ) ആയി ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. ഹേ സുജാത (സുജന്മ), സ്രുചഃ (യജ്ഞലഡിലുകൾ) അനുഷക് (ക്രമാനുസൃതമായി, തുടർച്ചയായി) നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നു; അവയിൽ ആസുതേ (ഒഴുക്കിയ) സർപിഃ (ഘൃതം/ശുദ്ധ നെയ്യ്) ഉണ്ട്—സങ്കൽപത്തിന്റെ ജ്വാലയ്ക്ക് പോഷണമായി.
