Sukta 4.24
स वृत्रहत्ये हव्यः स ईड्यः स सुष्टुत इन्द्रः सत्यराधाः । स यामन्ना मघवा मर्त्याय ब्रह्मण्यते सुष्वये वरिवो धात् ॥
sá vṛtra-hátye havyáḥ sá ī́ḍyaḥ sá suṣṭutá índraḥ satyá-rādhāḥ | sá yā́mann ā́ maghávā martyā́ya brahmaṇyaté suṣváye vári-vo dhāt ||
വൃത്രഹത്യയിലെ യജ്ഞത്തിൽ അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് ഹവ്യം (അർപ്പണം); അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് ആഹ്വേയൻ, അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് സ്തുത്യൻ—സുഷ്ടുതനായ ഇന്ദ്രൻ, സത്യരാധൻ (സത്യമായ ദാനശക്തിയുള്ളവൻ). യാത്രയിൽ ആ മഘവാൻ (ദാനവീരൻ) ബ്രഹ്മം തേടുന്നവനും സോമം പിഴിയുന്നവനും ആയ മർത്ത്യന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരുന്നു; അവനുവേണ്ടി വിശാലമായ വറിവസ്—നിര്ബാധ ഗതിക്കുള്ള സ്വതന്ത്രാവകാശം—സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു.
