घृताहवन सन्त्येमा उ षु श्रुधी गिरः । याभिः कण्वस्य सूनवो हवन्तेऽवसे त्वा ॥
ghṛtā́havana santy émā u ṣú śrudhī́ gíraḥ | yā́bhiḥ káṇvasya sū́navo havánte’váse tvā ||
ഹേ ഘൃതാഹവനേ (ഘൃതത്തോടെ ആഹുതി സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവനേ), ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ തന്നെയുണ്ട്—ഇപ്പോൾ തന്നെ നന്നായി കേൾക്കുക. ഈ സ്തുതികളാൽ കണ്വന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ സഹായത്തിനായി നിന്നെ ആഹ്വാനിക്കുന്നു; പോഷകമായ അഗ്നിയായി വരിക—ആഹുതിയെ മേലോട്ടു വഹിക്കയും, ചേതനയെ അകത്തോട്ടു സ്ഥാപിക്കയും ചെയ്യുക.
