नास्य॑ जा॒या श॑तवा॒ही क॑ल्या॒णी तल्प॒मा श॑ये । यस्मि॑न् रा॒ष्ट्रे नि॑रु॒ध्यते॑ ब्रह्मजा॒याचि॑त्त्या

Sanskrit recitationAtharva Veda 5.17.12

nā́syā jāyā́ śatavāhī́ kalyāṇī́ talpám ā́ śaye | yásmin rāṣṭré nirudhyáte brahmajāyā́cittyā ||

No wife of his, auspicious, bringing a hundred boons, lies down upon the marriage-bed, in that realm wherein one is held in check for the intent toward the Brahman’s wife.

അവന്റെ കല്യാണിയായ—നൂറു വരങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന—ഭാര്യ പോലും വിവാഹ-ശയ്യയിൽ കിടക്കുകയില്ല; ബ്രാഹ്മണന്റെ ഭാര്യയോടുള്ള ഉദ്ദേശം കാരണം ഒരാളെ തടഞ്ഞുവെക്കുന്ന ആ രാജ്യത്തിൽ.
