येन केनचिद्दत्तेन ततः सौख्यतरं नु किम् ॥ मासि मास्येकदिवसस्त्वमावास्येति योच्यते ॥

いかなる形で施しがなされようとも、布施より安楽を増すものがあろうか。月ごとに一日、「新月の日」(アマーヴァースヤー)と呼ばれる日がある。
