अधि यदस्मिन्वाजिनीव शुभः स्पर्धन्ते धियः सूर्ये न विशः । अपो वृणानः पवते कवीयन्व्रजं न पशुवर्धनाय मन्म ॥
Transliteration
adhi yád asmin vājínīva śúbhaḥ spárdhante dhíyaḥ sū́rye ná víśaḥ | apó vṛṇānás pavate kavīyán vrajáṃ ná paśu-várdhanāya mánma ||
Translation
この澄明なるソーマのうちに、光ある思惟の力（dhī）が、競走の駿馬のごとく争い、諸族が太陽へと集うがごとく寄り集うとき、彼は——諸水（浄めの流れ）を選び取り——流れ進み、いよいよ詩聖（kavi）として冴えわたり、内なる群れ（光線・諸力）を増し育てるために、秩序ある充溢の囲い（vraja）を、心意（manman）によって打ち立てる。
