प्रथमभाजं यशसं वयोधां सुपाणिं देवं सुगभस्तिमृभ्वम् । होता यक्षद्यजतं पस्त्यानामग्निस्त्वष्टारं सुहवं विभावा ॥
Transliteration
prathamabhā́jaṃ yaśásaṃ vayodhā́ṃ supā́ṇiṃ deváṃ sugábhastim ṛ́bhvam | hótā yakṣad yájatam pastyā́nām agnístváṣṭāraṃ suhávaṃ vibhā́vā ||
Translation
光輝なるアグニ（Agni）は、ホートリ（Hotṛ）として、トヴァーシュトリ（Tvāṣṭṛ）に供犠を捧げよ——最初の分け前を受ける者、栄光ある者、生命力を確立する者。善き手をもち、麗しき把握をもつ神、われらの住処（パスティヤー）において最もよく招かるべき者に。
