महि ज्योतिर्निहितं वक्षणास्वामा पक्वं चरति बिभ्रती गौः । विश्वं स्वाद्म सम्भृतमुस्रियायां यत्सीमिन्द्रो अदधाद्भोजनाय ॥
Transliteration
máhi jyótir níhitaṃ vakṣáṇāsv āmā́ pakváṃ carati bíbhratī gáuḥ | víśvaṃ svā́dma sámbhṛtam usríyāyāṃ yát sīm índro ádadhād bhójanāya ||
Translation
大いなる光は胸のうちに据えられている。その光を担う牝牛は歩み、未熟なるものと熟したものとを携える。曙（ウシャス Uṣas）の輝く胎内に、あらゆる甘美は集められた。インドラ（Indra）がそれを、われらの養いのため—歓喜の食、光の増益の糧として—そこに置いたからである。
