आपो न सिन्धुमभि यत्समक्षरन्त्सोमास इन्द्रं कुल्या इव ह्रदम् । वर्धन्ति विप्रा महो अस्य सादने यवं न वृष्टिर्दिव्येन दानुना ॥

ā́po ná síndhum abhí yát samákṣaran sómāsa índraṃ kulyā́ iva hradám | várdhanti víprā máho asya sā́dane yávaṃ ná vṛṣṭír divyéna dā́nunā ||

水が川へと合流して流れ込むように、ソーマ(Soma)はインドラへと奔り、あたかも水路が湖へ注ぐがごとし。詩聖たちは彼の座においてその大いなる威光を増し広げる——天の施与者の雨が大麦を育てるように。
