この短いアタルヴァヴェーダの讃歌は、ダルバ草(darbha)を具体的に手に取れる治療の力あるものとして賦活し、自己の内に起こる場合であれ他者に見いだされる場合であれ、manyu(憤怒/敵意の熱)を冷まし中和することを目的とする。その効力は宇宙的安定に根拠づけられ、ダルバが大地に生まれ、多根であり、海のように堅固であると説かれる。結びでは、相手の言葉の「武器」を強圧的に解除して、安穏な移動と社会的保護を確保する。
