परि॒ ग्राम॑मि॒वाचि॑तं॒ वच॑सा स्थापयामसि । तिष्ठा॑ वृ॒क्ष इ॑व॒ स्थाम्न्यभ्रि॑खाते॒ न रू॑रुपः
pári grā́mam ivā́citaṃ vácasā sthāpayāmasi | tíṣṭhā vṛ́kṣa iva sthā́mny abhrikhā́te ná rūrupaḥ
As one setteth fast a village well-built round about, so by our speech we set thee firm. Stand in thy station like a tree in a dug-out socket: be not misshapen.
周りを固く築いた村を据えつけるように、われらは言葉によって汝を堅く据える。掘り抜いた穴の座に立つ木のように、汝はその位に立て。歪み損なうな。
