Soma Pavamāna (the purifying Soma)
Is mantra mein Soma ki tareef hai jo ek tez dhaara ki tarah hai. Soma ko kapde se saaf kiya jata hai aur upar bheja jata hai. Wo khud se chamakta hai aur jaldi se aata hai. Devta log use dekh kar sachai ko maante hain. Soma ek badi lehar ki tarah niche aata hai. Akhir mein Soma sachai ke ghar mein baith jata hai.

Mantra 1
आशुरर्ष बृहन्मते परि प्रियेण धाम्ना । यत्र देवा इति ब्रवन् ॥
Hey Som, jaldi se bah aa. Bade gyaan wali sachai ke paas ja. Apne chamakdar ghar ke niyam se chal. Us jagah pahunch jahan dev log kehte hain, haan, yeh sach hai.
Mantra 2
परिष्कृण्वन्ननिष्कृतं जनाय यातयन्निषः । वृष्टिं दिवः परि स्रव ॥
Jo kaam poora nahi hua hai, usko theek kar raha hai insaan ke liye. Humein aage badha raha hai. Aasman se baarish ki tarah hamare upar bah, upar se roshni aa rahi hai.
Mantra 3
सुत एति पवित्र आ त्विषिं दधान ओजसा । विचक्षाणो विरोचयन् ॥
Nikla hua Som ras saaf karne wale ke paas aata hai. Chamak utha ke aata hai, taakat lekar. Acche se dekh ke andar ki duniya ko roshan karta hai.

अयं स यो दिवस्परि रघुयामा पवित्र आ । सिन्धोरूर्मा व्यक्षरत् ॥
Yeh wohi hai jo aasman se bhi aage se aata hai. Jaldi chal ke saaf karne wale ke paas pahunchta hai. Bade nadi ki lehar ki tarah fail ke bah jaata hai.

आविवासन्परावतो अथो अर्वावतः सुतः । इन्द्राय सिच्यते मधु ॥
Yeh Som ras door se bhi chamakta hai, paas se bhi. Isko nichoda ja raha hai aur Indra ke liye taiyaar kiya ja raha hai. Yeh woh shakti hai jo humare andar jeet laati hai.

समीचीना अनूषत हरिं हिन्वन्त्यद्रिभिः । योनावृतस्य सीदत ॥
Rishiyon ke saath milkar yeh ras Indra ki taraf badhta hai. Patharon se isko nichodte hain aur woh satya ki jagah baithta hai. Yeh woh sthan hai jahan sab sahi lagta hai.
