Is mantra mein Soma ki tareef hai. Soma ko daba ke saaf kiya ja raha hai. Woh aage ki taraf tezi se bah raha hai. Jaise koi taakatwar bail rath ke saath aata hai. Soma insaan ke paas aata hai. Woh us jagah pahunchta hai jahan use peene ke liye rakha jata hai. Isse Soma ki taakat aur takat milta hai. Yeh mantra Soma ko puja mein bulata hai.

एष उ स्य वृषा रथोऽव्यो वारेभिरर्षति । गच्छन्वाजं सहस्रिणम् ॥
Yeh woh bade bail jaisa rath hai. Yeh kabhi khatam nahi hone wale cover ke saath aage badhta hai. Yeh hazaron guna taakat ki taraf ja raha hai.

एतं त्रितस्य योषणो हरिं हिन्वन्त्यद्रिभिः । इन्दुमिन्द्राय पीतये ॥
Das ladkiyan is peele rang ke Som ko aage badha rahi hain. Woh patthar se usko nichod rahi hain. Yeh chamakta hua Som Indra ke liye hai, taaki woh pi sake.

एतं त्यं हरितो दश मर्मृज्यन्ते अपस्युवः । याभिर्मदाय शुम्भते ॥
Das peele ghode is Som ko chamka rahe hain. Woh kaam mein lage hain. Isse woh taakat aur masti ke liye taiyaar hota hai.

एष स्य मानुषीष्वा श्येनो न विक्षु सीदति । गच्छञ्जारो न योषितम् ॥
Yeh Som logon ke beech aake baithta hai. Jaise baaz udta hai aur sabko dekhta hai. Woh pyaar karne wale ki tarah apni pasand ki taraf ja raha hai.

एष स्य मद्यो रसोऽव चष्टे दिवः शिशुः । य इन्दुर्वारमाविशत् ॥
Yeh meetha ras hai jo aasman se aaya hai. Yeh nichay dikhta hai. Yeh chamakta hua Som andar ghus aaya hai.

एष स्य पीतये सुतो हरिरर्षति धर्णसिः । क्रन्दन्योनिमभि प्रियम् ॥
Yeh Som ras peene ke liye nikla hai. Rang peela hai aur bah raha hai. Apni jagah pakad ke chal raha hai. Awaaz nikal ke apni pyari jagah ki taraf daud raha hai, jahan uska apna ghar hai.
