दिवश्चिदा पूर्व्या जायमाना वि जागृविर्विदथे शस्यमाना । भद्रा वस्त्राण्यर्जुना वसाना सेयमस्मे सनजा पित्र्या धीः ॥

Transliteration

diváś cidā́ pū́rvyā́ jā́yamānā ví jā́gṛvir vidáthe śasyámānā | bhadrā́ vástrāṇy arjúnā vásānā sā́yám asmē saná-jā́ pitryā́ dhī́ḥ ||

Translation

દિવમાંથી પણ તે જન્મે છે—પૂર્વ્ય, પ્રાચીન છતાં સદા નવજાત; જાગૃત એવી તે, વિદથ (યજ્ઞસભા/શોધ-સભા)માં ઉચ્ચારાય ત્યારે વિસ્તરે છે. શુભ, ઉજ્જ્વળ વસ્ત્રો ધારણ કરીને—અર્જુન (ધવળ/પ્રકાશમાન) વસ્ત્રોમાં—પિતૃઓમાં સનાતન એવી આ પિત્ર્યા ધી (અનુભૂતિ/અંતર્દૃષ્ટિ) અહીં અમારું બને છે.
