Sukta 2.2
स इधान उषसो राम्या अनु स्वर्ण दीदेदरुषेण भानुना । होत्राभिरग्निर्मनुषः स्वध्वरो राजा विशामतिथिश्चारुरायवे ॥
sá idhāná uṣásaḥ rā́myāḥ ánu svàrṇá dī́ded aruṣéṇa bhānúnā | hótrābhir agnír mánuṣaḥ sv-adhvaró rājā́ viśā́m átithiś cā́rur ā́yave ||
Entzündet leuchtet er den lieblichen Uṣas nach, wie der Sonne eigenes Licht, mit rötlichem Strahl. Durch die Kräfte der Hotṛ-Anrufungen wird Agni dem Menschen zum rechtgeleiteten Opfer; König der Völker ist er der willkommene Gast, schön dem Sucher der Fülle.
