Sukta 2.13
प्रजाभ्यः पुष्टिं विभजन्त आसते रयिमिव पृष्ठं प्रभवन्तमायते । असिन्वन्दंष्ट्रैः पितुरत्ति भोजनं यस्ताकृणोः प्रथमं सास्युक्थ्यः ॥
prajā́bhyaḥ púṣṭiṃ vi-bhájanta āsate rayím iva pṛṣṭháṃ pra-bhávantam āyáte | asínvan dáṃṣṭraiḥ pitúr atti bhójanam yás tā́kṛṇoḥ prathamáṃ sá āsy ukthyáḥ ||
Sie sitzen da und teilen den Wesen Nahrung zu, wie man Reichtum auf einen tragenden Rücken legt, der ihn tragen und mehren kann. Der Unersättliche frisst mit den Zähnen die Speise des Vaters – der jene Kräfte zuerst gestaltete; er ist wahrlich der rechte Gegenstand des Hymnus.
