Sukta 2.39
ओष्ठाविव मध्वास्ने वदन्ता स्तनाविव पिप्यतं जीवसे नः । नासेव नस्तन्वो रक्षितारा कर्णाविव सुश्रुता भूतमस्मे ॥
óṣṭhāviva mádhvā āsné vádantā stánāviva pipyataṃ jīváse naḥ | nā́sēva nas tanvò rakṣitā́rā karṇā́viva su-śrutā́ bhūtam asmé ||
Như đôi môi nói mật ngọt trong miệng, xin cho lời nói của chúng con trở nên ngọt lành; như đôi bầu sữa, xin nuôi dưỡng chúng con để được sống. Như đôi lỗ mũi, xin làm đấng hộ trì cho thân (tanu) của chúng con; như đôi tai, xin trở thành bậc thiện thính đối với chúng con—ban và tiếp nhận sự nghe chân thật.
