บทสวดหนึ่งมนต์นี้อัญเชิญพระอินทร์ในนามสุทรามา (“ผู้คุ้มครองอันประเสริฐ”) เพื่อประทานความคุ้มครองอันเมตตา ขับไล่ความมุ่งร้าย และสถาปนาความไร้ความหวาดกลัว อีกทั้งทูลขอ “ความเป็นใหญ่แห่งวีรภาพอันยอดเยี่ยม” (สุวีรยะ) คือการผสานความรุ่งเรือง เกียรติยศ/ฐานะ และพลังชัยชนะ ภายใต้ฤทธานุภาพการพิทักษ์ของพระอินทร์
