एतावतस्त ईमह इन्द्र सुम्नस्य गोमतः । यथा प्रावो मघवन्मेध्यातिथिं यथा नीपातिथिं धने ॥
Transliteration
etā́vatas te īmahe índra sumnásya gómataḥ | yáthā prā́vo maghavan médhyā́tithiṃ yáthā nī́pā́tithiṃ dháne ||
Translation
ఓ ఇంద్రా, గోమత్—జ్ఞానకిరణాల ‘గో’లతో సమృద్ధమైన—నీ సుమ్నం (అనుగ్రహం) లో ఇంతమాత్రమే మేము కోరుతున్నాము. ఓ మఘవన్, నీవు మేధ్యాతిథిని ఎలా కాపాడావో, అలాగే ధనప్రాప్తిలో నీవు నీపాతిథినీ ఎలా కాపాడావో.
