Sukta 8.49
शतानीकेव प्र जिगाति धृष्णुया हन्ति वृत्राणि दाशुषे । गिरेरिव प्र रसा अस्य पिन्विरे दत्राणि पुरुभोजसः ॥
śatā́nīkeva prá jigāti dhṛṣṇu-yā́ hánti vṛtrā́ṇi dāśúṣe | girériva prá rasā́ asya pinvire dátrāṇi puru-bhójasāḥ ||
நூறு கொடிகளுடைய படை போல அவர் துணிவுடன் முன்னே செல்கிறார்; தானம் செய்பவனுக்காக (தாஶுஷ்) அவர் வேகத்துடன் வ்ருத்ரர்களைத் தகர்க்கிறார். மலைமீது வழியும் ரசங்கள் போல, அவரது தானங்கள் பெருகி எழுகின்றன—அவர் புருபோஜஸ், மிகுந்த அனுபவமும் வலிமையும் உடையவர்.
