Sukta 8.39
अग्ने मन्मानि तुभ्यं कं घृतं न जुह्व आसनि । स देवेषु प्र चिकिद्धि त्वं ह्यसि पूर्व्यः शिवो दूतो विवस्वतो नभन्तामन्यके समे ॥
ágne mánmāni túbhyaṃ káṃ ghṛtáṃ ná juhve āsáni | sá devéṣu prá cikiddhi tváṃ hí ási pū́rvyaḥ śivó dūtó vivásvato nabhantām anyaké samé ||
அக்னியே, என் மனவுரைகளை உனக்குக் க்ஹ்ருதம் (நெய்) போலச் செலுத்துகிறேன்; அவையே என் ஆஹுதி ஆகட்டும். தேவர்களிடையே நீ முழுமையாக விழித்திரு; நீ விவஸ்வத்-தின் ஆதிகால, சிவ (கல்யாண) தூதன்; எதிர்ப்புச் சக்திகள் வேறு உலகம்/வேறு தளத்திற்குப் போய்விடட்டும்.
