ये त्वा देवोस्रिकं मन्यमानाः पापा भद्रमुपजीवन्ति पज्राः । न दूढ्ये अनु ददासि वामं बृहस्पते चयस इत्पियारुम् ॥

yé tvā deva usríkaṃ mányamānāḥ pāpā́ bhadrám upa-jī́vanti pajrā́ḥ | ná dū́ḍhye ánu dadāsi vā́maṃ bṛ́haspate cáyasa ít piyā́rum ||

हे देव! ये त्वां केवलं सुखलाभदातारं मन्यमानाः—कुटिलस्वभावाः पज्राः—भद्रमपि ऋणवत् उपजीवन्ति। त्वं मन्दबुद्धये भाराक्रान्तचित्ताय च वामं प्रियं धनं न ददासि; हे बृहस्पते, योग्यायैव त्वं मधुरतां चयसे।
