अस्य संक्षिप्तस्य द्विमन्त्रस्य सूक्तस्य विषयः सुपर्णः/श्येनः—शीघ्रगामी तीक्ष्णदृष्टिर्दिव्यः पक्षी—यः हितकरः वहकः सन् निर्जनप्रदेशान् अपः अधःस्थानानि च अतिव्यत्य शुभेन आगच्छति, इन्द्रेण सह साहाय्येन च। एतत् “सफल-प्रापण” इति रक्षात्मकं मन्त्रकर्म भवति—इष्टस्य शक्तेः/वरस्य सुरक्षितं आगमनं साधयति, अपहृतान् द्रव्यादीन् पुनरावर्तयति, पितृणां स्थिरानुमत्याधारेण च प्रतिष्ठां ददाति।
