अयं संक्षिप्तोऽथर्वणीयो मन्त्रः यजमानस्य (गृहस्य, सेनायाः, जनसमुदायस्य वा) परितः रक्षोव्यवस्थां दृढं निबध्नाति। सवितारं बृहस्पतिं मित्रम् अर्यमणं भगम् अश्विनौ च—व्रतस्य संधेर् ऐक्यस्य च दिव्यान् प्रत्ययकरान्—आहूय, रज्ज्वा दाम्ना वा शत्रून् विधिना बध्नाति। एष मन्त्रः शत्रून् सर्वेषु वर्गेषु—नेतॄन्, मध्यमान् योद्धॄन्, पादातीन् च—स्तम्भयितुं प्रवर्तते, येन तेषां गमनं संकेताः समन्वयश्च विफलाः स्युः। अस्य प्रभावः अस्मिन् तत्त्वे प्रतिष्ठितः यत् सामाजिकः बन्धः (मित्रार्यमणोः) तथा भौतिको बन्धः (दामन्/संदानम्) एक एव दण्ड्यः प्रतिबन्धः इति।

शत्रुनाशनम्। संदानं वो बृहस्पतिः संदानं सविता करत्। संदानं मित्रोऽर्यमा संदानं भगोऽश्विना।
