अयं संक्षिप्तोऽथर्वणीयो वशीकरणसूक्तः वक्तुः सहाभिप्रेतस्य जनस्य मनः सामञ्जस्ये नयितुं प्रयुङ्क्ते—तत् “समागच्छतु, परिवर्ततां, सहमार्गे स्थिरं तिष्ठतु” इति। अत्र नियमनस्य द्वौ प्रकारौ संमिश्रितौ दृश्येते—मिथ्यदृष्टान्तः (अश्विनोः सम्यग्योजितं वहनम्, यत्र तयोः पूर्णा समन्वयिता) च व्यवहारबन्धनप्रतिमा (रश्मिः, तृणवेष्टनं च)। अन्ते च औषधीय/आलेपनसंयोगः प्रतिपाद्यते, यः सम्मतिं प्रसादं च जनयित्वा अनुकूलाभिमुखतां साधयति।

अभिसांमनस्यम्। यथा॒यं वा॒हो अ॑श्विना स॒मैति॒ सं च॒ वर्त॑ते । ए॒वा माम॒भि ते॒ मनः॑ स॒मैतु॒ सं च॑ वर्तताम्

अभिसांमनस्यम्। यथायं वाहोऽश्विनोः समैति सं च वर्तते, एवम् माभि ते मनः समैतु सं च वर्तताम्।

आहं खि॑दामि ते॒ मनो॑ राजा॒श्वः पृ॒ष्ट्यामि॑व । रे॒ष्मच्छि॑न्नं॒ यथा॒ तृणं॒ मयि॑ ते वेष्टतां॒ मनः॑

आहं खिदामि ते मनो राजाश्वः पृष्ट्यामिव। रेश्मच्छिन्नं यथा तृणं मयि ते वेष्टतां मनः।

आञ्ज॑नस्य म॒दुघ॑स्य॒ कुष्ठ॑स्य॒ नल॑दस्य च । तु॒रो भग॑स्य॒ हस्ता॑भ्यामनु॒रोध॑न॒मुद् भ॑रे

आञ्जनस्य मदुघस्य कुष्ठस्य नलदस्य च। तु्रो भगस्य हस्ताभ्यामनुरोधनमुद् भरे।
