Weal be to thee: may Wind, in the mid-air, set vital power within thee; weal be to thee: may the four quarters be auspicious unto thee. Thus do I release thee from kṣetriya, from Nirṛti, from the kinsman’s curse, from treachery; I loose thee from Varuṇa’s noose. Guiltless by holy spell I make thee: gracious unto thee let Heaven and Earth, both, stand.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (often transmitted under Atharvan/Angiras lineages for healing charms; specific r̥ṣi attribution depends on anukramaṇī for AVŚ 2.10)
Devata: Vāta (Wind) and the pacificatory powers; implicitly Varuṇa (as binder whose bond is removed), Dyāvāpṛthivī as cosmic stabilizers
Chandas: Predominantly Anuṣṭubh with Atharvanic cadence (as transmitted in AVŚ)
Primary: shanta
Secondary: bhayankara
