Sukta 2.2
उभयासो जातवेदः स्याम ते स्तोतारो अग्ने सूरयश्च शर्मणि । वस्वो रायः पुरुश्चन्द्रस्य भूयसः प्रजावतः स्वपत्यस्य शग्धि नः ॥
ubháyāso jātavedo syāma te stotā́ro agne sū́rayāś ca śármaṇi | vásvo rāyáḥ puru-candrasyá bhū́yasaḥ prajā́vataḥ su-ápatyasya śágdhi naḥ ||
Ó Jātavedas, que nos tornemos teus companheiros em dupla forma — teus cantores, ó Agni, e teus rishis iluminados — firmados na tua paz. Concede‑nos, ó senhor dos Vasus, uma porção maior da plenitude do ser, de muitos brilhos: riqueza fecunda em aumento, rica em descendência e de nobre linhagem.
