Sukta 2.2
वयमग्ने अर्वता वा सुवीर्यं ब्रह्मणा वा चितयेमा जनाँ अति । अस्माकं द्युम्नमधि पञ्च कृष्टिषूच्चा स्वर्ण शुशुचीत दुष्टरम् ॥
vayám agne árvātā vā su-vī́ryaṃ bráhmaṇā vā citayemā jánāṃ áti | asmā́kaṃ dyumnám ádhi páñca kṛ́ṣṭiṣū́ccā́ svàrṇá śuśucīta dúṣṭaram ||
My, o Agni, przez rumaka mocy lub przez moc mantry, chcielibyśmy wznieść się ponad ludzkie ograniczenia. Niech nasza świetlista chwała stoi ponad pięcioma plemionami; płomienie wysoko jak światło prawdy słońca, trudne do zaatakowania, niemożliwe do przekroczenia.
