Sukta 9.97
आ जागृविर्विप्र ऋता मतीनां सोमः पुनानो असदच्चमूषु । सपन्ति यं मिथुनासो निकामा अध्वर्यवो रथिरासः सुहस्ताः ॥
ā́ jā́gṛvir vípra ṛtā́ matīnā́ṃ sómaḥ punā́nó asadac camū́ṣu | sápanti yáṃ mithunā́so níkāmā adhvaryávo rathirā́saḥ suhástāḥ ||
ജാഗരൂകനായി ജാഗ്രതയോടെ, ചിന്തകളുടെ ഋതത്തെ അറിയുന്ന വിപ്രൻ—ശുദ്ധനാകുന്ന സോമൻ—ചമൂകളിൽ ഇരുന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. അവനെ അധ്വര്യവർ, യോജിച്ച ജോടികളായി ഒരേ മനസ്സും ഒരേ ലക്ഷ്യവും കൊണ്ട്, മുന്നോട്ട് പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു—യജ്ഞകർമ്മത്തിൽ നിപുണർ, രഥസാരഥികളുപോലെ വേഗികൾ, ‘സുഹസ്ത’ർ—പ്രവർത്തനം അറിയുന്ന കൈകളുള്ളവർ.
