Sukta 9.95
तं मर्मृजानं महिषं न सानावंशुं दुहन्त्युक्षणं गिरिष्ठाम् । तं वावशानं मतयः सचन्ते त्रितो बिभर्ति वरुणं समुद्रे ॥
táṃ marmṛjānám mahiṣáṃ ná sānā́v aṃśúṃ duhanty ukṣáṇaṃ giri-sthā́m | táṃ vāvaśānám matáyaḥ sacante tritó bibharti váruṇaṃ samudré ||
അവനെ—മർമൃജ്യമാനനായി (മിനുക്കപ്പെടുന്നവനായി)—ഉയരത്തിൽ മഹിഷനെപ്പോലെ; പ്രകാശമുള്ള അംശു, ശക്തൻ, പർവ്വതത്തിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നവനെ—മനുഷ്യർ പാൽ കറക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ദോഹിക്കുന്നു. അവനോടു, ഉത്സുകമായി, മതികൾ ചേർന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നു; ത്രിതൻ സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ ആഴത്തിൽ വരുണനെ ധരിക്കുന്നു.
