परि यत्कविः काव्या भरते शूरो न रथो भुवनानि विश्वा । देवेषु यशो मर्ताय भूषन्दक्षाय रायः पुरुभूषु नव्यः ॥
pári yát kavíḥ kā́vyā bhárate śū́ro ná rátho bhúvanāni víśvā | devéṣu yáśo mártāya bhū́ṣan dákṣāya rāyáḥ puru-bhū́ṣu návyaḥ ||
കവി തന്റെ കാവ്യദർശനം സർവ്വത്ര വഹിക്കുമ്പോൾ—വീരന്റെ രഥംപോലെ എല്ലാ ഭുവനങ്ങളിലൂടെയും സഞ്ചരിച്ച്—അവൻ ദേവന്മാരിൽ യശസ്സിനെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു, മർത്ത്യനു ശോഭയെ അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നു; ദക്ഷ (ദക്ഷത, യുക്തകർമ്മശക്തി)യ്ക്കായി പുതുതും ബഹുവിധവുമായ റായഃ—സമൃദ്ധികൾ—ഉദ്ഭവിക്കുന്നു.
