Sukta 9.86
राजा सिन्धूनां पवते पतिर्दिव ऋतस्य याति पथिभिः कनिक्रदत् । सहस्रधारः परि षिच्यते हरिः पुनानो वाचं जनयन्नुपावसुः ॥
rājā síndhūnāṃ pavate pátir divá ṛtásya yāti pathí-bhiḥ kánikradat | sahásra-dhāraḥ pári ṣicyate háriḥ punā́nó vā́caṃ janáyann úpāvasuḥ ||
നദികളുടെ രാജാവ് ഒഴുകി ശുദ്ധനാകുന്നു—ദിവ്യത്തിന്റെ അധിപതി; ഋതത്തിന്റെ പാതകളിലൂടെ ഗർജ്ജിച്ചു മുന്നേറുന്നു. സഹസ്രധാരയുള്ള ഹരിത-താമ്രവർണ്ണൻ എല്ലാടവും ചുറ്റി ഒഴുക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; പുനാന (ശുദ്ധനാകുന്നവൻ) വാക്കിനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു, അന്തർ-നിവാസത്തിലെ സമ്പത്തുകളെ സമീപത്തേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
