चक्रिर्दिवः पवते कृत्व्यो रसो महाँ अदब्धो वरुणो हुरुग्यते । असावि मित्रो वृजनेषु यज्ञियोऽत्यो न यूथे वृषयुः कनिक्रदत् ॥
cakríḥ diváḥ pavate kṛ́tvyo rásō mahā́n adábhō váruṇo hurúg yáte | asā́vi mítraḥ vṛjánēṣu yajñíyo’tyó na yū́thē vṛṣa-yúḥ kaníkradat ||
ദ്യുലോകത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഋതകർമാ (ശുദ്ധകർമ്മങ്ങളുടെ കര്ത്താവ്) കൃത്യവ്യോ രസം പവിത്രമായി ഒഴുകിവരുന്നു; മഹാൻ, അദബ്ധൻ—വരുൺ, വിശാല ഋതധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ ശക്തി, വിശാല ഇടങ്ങളിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു. മിത്രനും വൃജനങ്ങളിൽ (നമ്മുടെ നിലനില്പിന്റെ മേഖലകളിൽ) യജ്ഞയോഗ്യനായി പിഴിഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ബലവാനായ അശ്വംപോലെ, വൃഷയു ആയി ഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.
