पुनानो याति हर्यतः सोमो गीर्भिः परिष्कृतः । विप्रस्य मेध्यातिथेः ॥

punānó yā́ti haryatáḥ sómo gī́rbhiḥ pári-kṛtaḥ | víprasya médhya-atitheḥ ||

പുനാന—സ്വയം ശുദ്ധിയാകുന്ന—സ്വർണവർണ്ണനായ സോമൻ മുന്നോട്ട് പോകുന്നു; ഗീർഭിഃ (സ്തുതികളാൽ) പൂർണ്ണമായി പരിഷ്കൃതനായി, മേധ്യ-അതിഥിയായ വിപ്ര (ഋഷി)യുടെ യജ്ഞകർമ്മത്തിൽ.
