सोम उ षुवाणः सोतृभिरधि ष्णुभिरवीनाम् । अश्वयेव हरिता याति धारया मन्द्रया याति धारया ॥
Transliteration
sóma u ṣuvānáḥ sotṛ́bhir ádhi snúbhir avī́nām | áśvayā-iva harítā yāti dhā́rayā mandráyā yāti dhā́rayā ||
Translation
സോമൻ തീർച്ചയായും, സോതൃകൾ അമർത്തുമ്പോൾ, അവീനാം (ആടിന്റെ ഉണ്ണ്) എന്ന രോമപാളികളുടെ മുകളിലൂടെ ഒഴുകുന്നു. അശ്വംപോലെ ഹരിത-സുവർണ്ണൻ ധാരയിലൂടെ പോകുന്നു; മന്ദ (ആനന്ദമയ) ധാരയിലൂടെ പോകുന്നു.
