Sukta 7.86
पृच्छे तदेनो वरुण दिदृक्षूपो एमि चिकितुषो विपृच्छम् । समानमिन्मे कवयश्चिदाहुरयं ह तुभ्यं वरुणो हृणीते ॥
pṛ́cche tád éno váruṇa didṛ́kṣū́po émi cikítuṣo ví-pṛccham | samānám ín me kaváyaś cid āhur ayáṃ ha túbhyaṃ váruṇo hṛṇīte ||
ഹേ വരുണ, ഞാൻ ആ ഏനോയെക്കുറിച്ച് ചോദിക്കുന്നു—അതിനെ വ്യക്തമായി കാണാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച്; അറിയുന്നവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു വിചാരിക്കുന്നു. കവികളും എനിക്ക് അതേ പറയുന്നു: ‘ഈ വരുണൻ നിനക്കു നേരെ സത്യമായും ഹൃണീതേ—അസന്തുഷ്ടനാണ്.’
