न तमंहो न दुरितानि मर्त्यमिन्द्रावरुणा न तपः कुतश्चन । यस्य देवा गच्छथो वीथो अध्वरं न तं मर्तस्य नशते परिह्वृतिः ॥
ná tám aṃhó ná duritā́ni mártyam índrāvaruṇā ná tápaḥ kútaś caná | yásya devā gácchatho vīthó adhvaráṃ ná táṃ mártasya naśate párihvṛtiḥ ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ-വരുണന്മാരേ, ഏതു വശത്തുനിന്നും ദുഃഖവും അല്ല, ദുര്ഗതികളും അല്ല, ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന താപവും അല്ല—മർത്ത്യനെ സ്പർശിക്കുകയില്ല; ഹേ ദേവന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങൾ യജ്ഞപഥത്തിൽ അവനോടൊപ്പം സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോൾ. ആ മർത്ത്യനെ പരിഹ്വൃതി (ചുറ്റിപ്പിടിക്കുന്ന വികൃതി) പിടിക്കുകയില്ല.
