Sukta 7.1
नू मे ब्रह्माण्यग्न उच्छशाधि त्वं देव मघवद्भ्यः सुषूदः । रातौ स्यामोभयास आ ते यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥
nū́ me bráhmāṇy agna úcchaśādhi tváṃ deva maghávadbhyaḥ susū́daḥ | rātáu syāmo’bháyāsa ā́ te yūyáṃ pāta svastíbhiḥ sádā naḥ ||
ഇപ്പോൾ, ഹേ അഗ്നേ, എന്റെ ബ്രഹ്മാണി (മന്ത്രങ്ങളെ) ഉയർത്തി പ്രവർത്തനത്തിലാക്കുക; ഹേ ദേവാ, മഘവന്മാർ (ദാനശീലികൾ) മുന്നോട്ട് നീങ്ങുവാൻ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനേ, അവരെ സുസഞ്ചോദിതരാക്കുക. ദാനത്തിന്റെ ഗതിയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇരുവശത്തും സുരക്ഷിതരാകട്ടെ; നിങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളെ സദാ സ്വസ്തിഭിഃ—ക്ഷേമാവസ്ഥകളാൽ—കാത്തരുളുക.
