वि मे कर्णा पतयतो वि चक्षुर्वीदं ज्योतिर्हृदय आहितं यत् । वि मे मनश्चरति दूरआधीः किं स्विद्वक्ष्यामि किमु नू मनिष्ये ॥
ví me kárṇā patayato ví cákṣur ví ídaṃ jyótir hṛ́daya ā́hitaṃ yát | ví me mánas carati dūrā́dhīḥ kíṃ svíd vakṣyā́mi kím u nū́ maniṣye ||
എന്റെ ചെവികൾ തുറന്ന് പറക്കുന്നു, എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി വ്യാപിക്കുന്നു; കാരണം ഈ ജ്യോതി ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ മനസ് ദൂരവ്യാപിയായ ചിന്തകളിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു—ഞാൻ എന്ത് തന്നെയാകും ഉച്ചരിക്കുക, ഇനി ഉള്ളിൽ എന്ത് രൂപപ്പെടുത്തും?
