Sukta 6.27
वधीदिन्द्रो वरशिखस्य शेषोऽभ्यावर्तिने चायमानाय शिक्षन् । वृचीवतो यद्धरियूपीयायां हन्पूर्वे अर्धे भियसापरो दर्त् ॥
vadhīd índro varaśikhasya śéṣo 'bhyāvartíne cāyamānā́ya śíkṣan | vṛcī́vato yád dhariyūpī́yāyāṃ hán pū́rve árdhe bhiyásā́paro dart ||
ഇന്ദ്രൻ വരശിഖന്റെ ശേഷനെ വധിച്ചു—തിരിഞ്ഞോടുന്നവനെയും മുന്നേറുന്നവനെയും ശിക്ഷിച്ചു പാഠം പഠിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്. ഹരിയൂപീയയിൽ അവൻ വൃചീവന്തനെ പ്രഹരിച്ചപ്പോൾ, ആദ്യ അർദ്ധത്തിൽ തന്നെ ശത്രു ഭയത്തിൽ തകർന്നു; പിന്നെ ഓടിപ്പോയി.
