Sukta 6.27
त्रिंशच्छतं वर्मिण इन्द्र साकं यव्यावत्यां पुरुहूत श्रवस्या । वृचीवन्तः शरवे पत्यमानाः पात्रा भिन्दाना न्यर्थान्यायन् ॥
triṃśácchatáṃ varmíṇa indra sā́kaṃ yavyā́vatyāṃ puruhūta śravasyā́ | vṛcī́vantaḥ śárave pátyamānāḥ pā́trā bhindānā́ ny arthā́ny āyan ||
യവ്യാവതിയിൽ, ഹേ പുരുഹൂത ഇന്ദ്രാ, യശസ്സിനായി നിനക്കൊപ്പമായി കവചധാരികളായ മൂവായിരം പേർ ഒന്നിച്ചു ചേർന്നു. വൃചീവന്തന്റെ ആളുകൾ ആക്രമണത്തിലേക്ക് പാഞ്ഞുചെന്ന്, തങ്ങളുടെ പാത്രങ്ങൾ തകർത്തു, ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ നിഷ്ഫലമായി മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
